Specific techniques that are considered part of metalsmithing include soldering, annealing, hammering, texturing, pickling, fusing, dapping and doming, fold forming, and others. Some more advanced or uncommon jewelry-making techniques include chasing and repousse, enameling, etching, and electroforming/electroplating.
