I live in midstate New Hampshire...Have a degree in Business and enjoy the Marketing aspect of business. My husband and I own an Auto Parts Store, sell used cars have a few collectable cars. My husband also is a Race Car Fabricator. I guess that is where I have learned to love metals, although on a much smaller scale and way more money invested in metal (if he only knew how much).
Have always liked to draw, sew and do needlepoint and most of what I have made has been given away to friends and family.
I have always loved rocks....any kind...even a nice piece of Quartz I find intriging.
Started beading about 10 years ago and wanted more, so I took a few MetalSmithing classes with the League of NH Craftsman and I was hooked. I like to make one of a kind pieces and when a design comes out correct it is very gratifying from an inner perspective. I am still a Newbie regarding metals and am trying to expand my horizon and learn more. When I retire I am hopeful to make jewelry full time to enhance our income and still feel that I am a productive individual.
I could write a book, but the above is the Readers Digest version of where I have been and where I would like to go.
