Hello....I recently purchased 18gauge and 16gauge copper sheet. My intention is to make bracelets but I'm afraid I may have bought the wrong gauges? I'm having a really really hard time cutting the 18ga, using sheers for that. didn't even attempt the 16ga.

Any advice on best tools to use for this thickness?

I use a bench shear or a saw for those heavy gauges, they're a bit of a tough go with hand shears unless you're a body builder.  When you're working with these heavy gauges you'll need to anneal often to keep the metal soft so you can work the metal easily. My personal preference is for the heavier gauges over the lighter ones because once you have them where you want them they are never going to  move on you ever.

Ok....that makes more sense. I'll check out some bench shears since I bought several sheets already. Thanks for your help!!
